PSE 4 for Mac. The save for web option is grayed out and won't let me select it. I have reset the preferences. Any ideas on getting this feature to work? Does it have anything to do with ImageReady? Thank you.

Hi ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
This error hasn't come up for a long time ... there are actually save for web prefs. I found this note in my Cut & Paste file but I didn't make a note of the Name of the prefs ...
Still it may point you in the right direction ..
Delete Save for web prefs:
Windows:
Hold down Ctrl+Alt, then choose Save For Web.
You should get a dialogue box asking if you want to delete Save For Web preferences.
Choose yes.
Mac:
Go to User>Username>library>prefs

Hi ...
I just found this:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=312917
you could also just do a search (using spotlight) for Save for Web

I appreciate the help. Save for web is still not working. Are you familiar with the "save for web plugin". I did a spotlight search and that came up.

Still no luck with any of the options. What do you think about an uninstall and the reinstall?

Not sure if this will help...
I am running PSE 5 on a PC and while the Save for Web option was available (not greyed out), it would not work. While I haven't spent much time researching this, what I discovered (accidently) was that if I was logged on my laptop as an administrator the option worked, any other log in and the option does not work.
