Has anyone else noticed that the volume of Dave's tutorials is very low compared to tutorials by Matt K. If it is only me then I'll have to deal with it, but if it truly is happening to others, then who would be talk to to have it corrected for future tutorials. I really had to adjust my volume way up to hear Dave's latest tutorials.

I really get a lot out of the tutorials, so I don't want to miss anything that is said in them.

I was laughing as I read your post. At the beginning I was thinking volume as in number of tuts. I couldn't figure out what the heck you were talking about  ...Dave has tons of tuts here.

I have noticed a difference as well, I really have to crank the volume to hear Dave.

Pssst Dave..... speak up  ..probably just the mic.

Gary,

Glad you did in fact get the drift of my question, and a good laugh. I guess because I have a hearing problem (with my ears) I wasn't thinking of any other terms to use.

But, Yes I was referring to the Hearing Volume.

I hope this message gets through to him then. Whatever the problem, Mic not working properly, too far from Mic, etc. Louder would be much better.

Maybe it's all the heat we've been having Gary!! Our brains have shrivelled a little this summer.

Sorry about that folks. Didn't realize until it was too late that the volume was a little low. The next ones will be better!

Well to add to this my initial impression was the same -- but yes I've noticed that some videos the volume is cranked way high on my computer as well -- the bad thing is when I switch to my computer game the sound blasts throughout the apartment.

Gary not with the speakers I have hooked up -- that's why the audio on some of the videos puzzled me.

Dear Dave Cross,

Thank you for your response, and I will be looking forward to louder tutorials.

And to everyone else, I sorry I confused you, but glad you all got a chuckle out of it. See how easy it is to have double meanings...

...was out yesterday and trying to catch up this morning on these threads and pm's !! I thought the same thing...what is she talkng about ? ...I really haven't paid much attention to this since I have my speaker turned down until I need it...I can't be bothered with 0S beeps and tones and wizard sounds....so I just turn the knob til I hear him....

It's just that Dave is such a nice quiet guy.

Next time when he's getting ready to record, I'll go make him mad so ya can hear him

Dorrie,
I am like you I have a hearing loss so I use the headphone with volume control. The sharpening video is the hardest video to hear even thou I have the volume all the way up on the video clip and headphone controls. Then I went to watch the change the background video the sound nearly blew me out of the chair  quickly I had to turn down the volume. Maybe is to do with the type of microphone. I love watching both of them. I am alway wondering what Dave is going to do end of his video clips. The sharpening one with him floating by was good one.

Ditto on thinking the volume= amount rather than =sound. That was pretty funny.

And I just this minute did the quiet tutorial. Cranked up the speaker and about jumped outta my chair when email dingled in at max volume! Whew!

Having forgotten to turn the volume down after a video, I jumped too.
