I understand about the tutorials, But what if the original photo isn't 'bold enough'?
How would I go about painting a colour in...any tutorials/videos about that?

take a look at the video (Subscriber Section) named Elegant Colorization -- it is dated 11/10/06. This might be what you have in mind.

No too sure what you mean by bold enough ... the technique should work on any B&W photo :)
