Hi, Just wanted to say hello! I've always considered myself a very good amateur Photographer using 35mm format (99%slides). So now I'm retired and figured I'd get caught up in the digital world. Still have only my Nikon 35 mm gear but bought myself a computer, printer, Epson 4180 scanner and PSE-3, subscribed to PSE Techniques and PSE on-line training. Now all I have to do is put it all together. I'm computer literate (self taught) but by far no expert. I sometimes find using and learning PSE overwhelming. Maybe its a senior moment as my memory is not what it used to be. Hopefully with all your help I'll almost master the digital world some day.
Thanx in advance, Ed

Welcome Welcome Edmund! You'll find a lot of people here to help you along in your learning. We'll be watching for you to get your gallery going so we can see your pictures!

My husband got me started with Nikon and he is a big fan of shooting slides for University theatre photography. I think I almost have him convinced to switch to digital though. :) Love my D70!

Welcome..looks like you have started this new adventure perfectly. IMHO you couldn't have picked a better group of people, or a better place to hang out with/in.

Welcome - you're off to a good start doing all the right things - and retirement is one of them  . I had to retire before I finally had the time to do more than the basics with Elements - and the more you play the better you get. Taking some lessons, working through tutorials, reading some books and asking questions is the way to go - it does seem overwhelming at first but that's because it is a very powerful program and there are usually several different ways to achieve the same result - so you never stop learning.
