Picture made from pictures

I want to create one of those pictures that are made up of hundreds (or thousands) of smaller photos.

Do you know what I mean?
Is there a proper name for them?
Can Elements 4 do it?

I was hoping there might be some slick tool / software that took the image I wanted and scanned my photos then automatically created the finished result, does that exist?

I've never used it and know nothing about it but it appears to be what you are looking for.

That's the thing. Thanks for that, I've been searching everywhere but getting nowhere.
