I decided it was time to try doing a scrapbook page. Jane's template made it pretty easy.

Diana- I thought you were already doing it, just not calling it that- like this one of Hayden- it's always been one of my favorites:

Love the hats- I keep thinking I need to do a collage of my daughter with all of her hats. There's just something about little girls and hats, they're adorable!

Thanks everyone. I have always admired the scrapbook pages that you scrappers make with all the coordinating papers, embellishments, tags and journaling. Although I have enjoyed doing photo montages, I never quite considered them scrapbook pages, but I guess there's a fine line between the two.
I have this community Elements class I'm teaching at my church (yes some of my "students" want to continue after last week) and several are interested in scrapbooking, so I thought I'd better get some practice in that direction. Thanks for your encouragement.
Yes, isn't Hayden a doll. We haven't seen her since her 1st birthday a year ago and we wish she lived closer (they're in Colorado). She's growing so fast. Thank goodness our granddaughter sends photo CD's.

Diana - I love "Love Lives Here" - even the dogs and cats get their photo on the montage. Your gallery is great.

As your great-granddaughter gets older and sees that scrapbook page, perhaps she can share a story about herself in each of the hats. It might be a fun way for her to fill you in on her life, and you could write them down and create a book for her.
Just a thought ... it's a writing activity I've done with kids ... they bring in a hat, become that persona, and write about the person they become in the hat. Lots of fun stories result!

Your scrapbook page is absolutely wonderful. I admired it when I was in the gallery earlier on.

Diana, you've created such a fun page for an adorable little girl! Thanks for sharing it.
Hmmmm, scrapbook page / memory page / montage / collage... is there really a difference? :D Some journal, others only add a title. During a recent weekly chat my favorite designer said she seldom journals. Whatever you call it, I love creating lasting memories for future generations.

Thanks for the nice comments. Whatever it's called, I love putting several images together on one background. There are just so many varieties of combining images and decorating them. I enjoy so much viewing everyone else's images and seeing what your different imaginations come up with.
Tricia, that's a great idea with the hats and writing.
