Corey's Jigsaw Puzzle

I've been trying to make the jigsaw puzzle as seen in Corey's video, but when I get to the magic wand, I can't get it to work. The magic wand either selects way too much or virtually nothing. Then it will not select just one puzzle piece either. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? (I do have the tolerance set at 3 and contiguous checked.):( :confused:

Hi Becky-

There were a few other questions about this, too. My daughter and I did a couple, and here's what worked for us:

In the Texturizer filter window, change the lighting to Top Right.

Thanks! I tried Top Right with no change but Top Left seemed to work for me. Doesn't matter as long as it worked.

Great. I suspect the direction of light has something to do with the settings of the two sliders above.

At any rate, I'm glad you got it working.

I'm having the exact same issue -- I've tried each option for the direction of light, and nothing solves the problem. Any ideas as to how to make the magic wand work correctly for this technique? Thanks!

Hi Tricia ..

When you use the magic wand make sure that you click exactly in the centre of the piece ... if I don't do that then it selects the next one too :(
