Welcome JoJo
Harvey, Thank you very much for the eyes and photo compliment :)
The lighthouse picture in not a real place though-I made it in paintshop pro and framed it in elements. It was fun to do.
Thanks again

JoJo, Yes indeed you will find members here very friendly and informative, always willing to help out.......
Jancy, you are very welcome. The lighthouse is even more amazing having made that in PSP. I would have sworn that was a photo that you enhanced/ painted in PSE. Way to go. Very well done. Harvey

I actually have not even tried painting in Elements, I am far from artistic, really wish I new how to paint or draw  but using a roller and painting my walls I find alot easier!
Jancy
JoJo you are going to love it here!

Jancy, now that made me laugh. Seriously though there are tutorials to show you how to paint in PSE. One that come to mind is on Graffi's site: http://www.graficalicus.com/graffishop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=31
Some of his stuff is free , some for a little bit of money.
I am not that much into painting either(walls included). Still there are many places that can instruct on how to.
Another one is Picasa2(I think thats how it is spelled)and you can probably get a trial copy to play with for a month or so. You can take your photos into that program and create painted renditions of them. As for real painting, I never got into it. My only talent was doing alot of 'pen and ink' drawings (years and years ago). Harvey

Harvey,
Thanks for the info. I have a fun little program called artrage 2. I love to doodle around in it. Not very well of course. I also have essentials 3 that I have not really got into, I think it is quite limited but if I play around to much and like it, I will end up buying the full version and I still won't have a clue what to do with it. I am going to take a look at the tutorial you posted. I am sure I will find it interesting.
