Matt, where do I download the Elements_Chrome Style. I can't find it in the Adobe Studio Exchange? Ed Weidman :confused:

Its in the Day 14 zip file ... and its also in the downloads section of the Subscriber Area :)

Wendy I can't get Elements_Chrome to load into the Layer Styles Right Hand drop down Menu. I am running PSE 5. I need some help. Thanks,Ed

Hi Ed ...

Layer Styles install different in PSE5 .. :) Try this:

First make sure that the "Show hidden folders and files" option is turned on in Windows. Then drop the .asl file into a folder (if its not already in one) and put it in ...

C: Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>5.0>Photo Creations>Special Effects>Layer Styles

Then restart Elements and the layer style will show up in Special Effects>Layer Styles

CARE ... the path in Vista is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\Special Effects\Layer Styles

I have downloaded the Elements-Chrome Styles several times now, from lesson 14 and also from the subscriber area, and I still can't get it to show up in the palette. What am I doing wrong? I'm using PSE4. I really enjoyed this class on Layers.

Hi ...

For PSE4 just out the .asl file in your Elements folder under Presets>Styles .. then you will need to restart Elements :)

Do let us know if it works OK this time :)

I guess I must be dumb! I've dragged and dropped, copied and pasted, unzipped direct and it still doesn't show up under the layer styles. Oh, well!

I still can't get the Elements_Chrome to show up in the palette. It does show up in the styles folder. I even checked the "unblock" feature. I don't know why I keep messing with this, I probably would rarely use it, but I'd like to be able to install these things properly.
