Pink,
I think this is absolutely gorgeous!!! I would have never thought of using that bright chartreuse-y green, but it looks terrific. Would love to know some of the technique you used. http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=18741
Hope I pasted this in correctly.

 now i would love to remember every step .. the paper background is one i did for kimi's homework week #9 http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1FJNJgQKB7j3V8eFM1XNuYeoo9BZ_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1FJNJgQKB7j3V8eFM1XNuYeoo9BZ).. there is an article in PSE volume 4, number 2 that is very similar in how i create digital backdrops, page 28, i think. Well, then i decided that i really didn't like the mustard yellow so i used a hue/saturation adjustment(levels, too) to get the green i wanted, then i imported my rose and from there, just played with the blending modes till i found the effect i wanted, added a small white stroke border, and a slight drop shadow to finish off .. really wish i could recall everything, i have lots of time on my hands so there is no excuse for not keeping track  oh, btw, i'm glad you guys liked the color cause i'm never too sure my crappy monitor is as accurate as it should, thx for the compliments, made my day :)

PinkPepper,
Thanks so much for sharing your technique. And as I said earlier, I think it is just so striking.
And see Kimi, what you inspire us to do because of your homework?:D
