The brush he's using does not match the brushes I have as options. There are no options for the type of brush he is using. I only have a circle motion, not a "fuzzy" looking brush. I am using 3.0. Does anyone know what specific brush he is using? Thanks.

Depending on how your brushes are displayed -- he is using a large soft edged brush -- should be fuzzy around the outside.

Hi ...
Sometimes the brush looks different when the person has a Wacom tablet attatched to their computer ... so that could be what you are seeing :)

The brushes I have are shaped like worms. The brush he is using has like a point on each end, kinda like a caligraphy brush. Either way I don't in PSE3, the same brush type he is using in PSE4.0 so I cannot get the background to "spray" properly like he is doing. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Will...I don't have a "large soft edged brush". How do I get that to show up. Thanks.

Are you using one from the "basic brushes" set? The soft-edged ones like he's looking that looks fuzzy are at the bottom of the set.

Do you know the name and number of the brush. I've looked through all the "sets" and can't find it? Thanks

1. from the drop down menu 2.choose default brushes 3.scroll down until you see the fuzzy looking brushes.these are the "soft brushes" 4. select the size brush that you want.
your brushes will not have the pointed ends like mine.they will only look that way if you are editing with a tablet connected

Hi Bob: Thanks. I think that's the issue I was having is that I do not have the pointed edges on the brushes and therefore I kept looking for a brush that is not there. I will use one of the other "fuzzy" brushes and just experiment with them to get the desired result like in the Day 1 course. Thanks for the clarification. :)
