I'm not quite sure how to do this.....everytime I try it looks phony....which steps would you take to draw and make it look realistic. I don't want to have to scan some. I've used Wendy's tutorial, but something is missing ..... not real enough. Should I stick to scanning?

Well you could take the easy way out and order the Real Ribbons for Digital Scrappers (http://www.scrappersguide.com/real_ribbons.html)CD. Thats what I ended up doing. Just got it a couple of days ago and it looks great.

Ditto, I gave up on making my own, unless it was ric rac, or just flat stuff. I bought the CD too. (or I scan)

I gave it up too! It's sooo much easier just downloading ribbon already made. And DSP has some really great ribbons.

Hi ...

You can make realistic ribbon but it takes time, patience and a lot of dodge & burn :)

... its a lot easier to scan it ... but its not as much fun :)

In Vol 3 Number 3 or the Elements Newsletter, Linda Sattgast did a tutorial on creating realistic grosgrain ribbon....
