Extend beyond the frame technique

Could anyone tell me where there is a tutorial in extending beyond the frame. On the gallery MRod has some great pictures. I have a number of pictures that that technique would work great. Example where the top of a tree extends out of the frame at the top and then has a bit of shadow.

Recently a change has been made to the video gallery, in that you can now re-sort the videos either by date or by name. A great added feature! Doing that makes Border Breakout the 6th video down at this time.

Now that is a good feature!
I will often remember the name of a video I want to find but, of course, not the date.
