New Promotion from Canon !!!

I received this email from Canon this morning. http://www.usa.canon.com/app/emails/eosmarch07/index.html
I states that they are offering a savings on the 5D and 30D. I cant find the offer on any other site. Hopeing someone can help me take advantage of this offer on the 5D. I know this isn't an Elements question but I thought there might be someone else that has seen this offer and can tell me where I can go to take advantage of it. Thanks Steve

If you look at the "asterik" - and go to the bottom of the page you find:
*Based on Minimum Advertised Price. Actual prices are set by dealer and may vary.

The kit usually means you get the better price with the body of the camera and the lens together - rather than buying them separately. The in the advertising world - the ad you posted is a "come-on" - gets you all excited (which these cameras can easily do). Basically - you get the savings by getting the lens and the body together.

Hope this doesn't "pop your bubble" as far as getting a really really great deal.

I went to B&H Photo and priced the camera and lens.
Camera 5D--- $2799.00
24-105 IS usm---- $1059.00
They also have the 2 as a kit for $3799.00
A difference of $58.00 buying them individually. A far cry from $449.00 They are bragging about. Guess it was wishful thinking. I was looking for something back from Canon for the savings. Guess I'll have to wait for a real rebate program like the one I just missed from them. Oh well thanks anyway.
