I just picked up the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine Premier Issue April/May 2007. The magazine cost $6.99 US plus sales tax but the subscription rate is $14.99 US for one year (6 issues). The magazine and the website have tutorials but our Enlightened Leader Wendy has the best tutorials. :)

Thanks Wendy .. I just found it and subscribed but I am thinking it won't start with the premier so I may have to find it in the stores.

There's another new digital scrapbooking magazine: Scrapbooking Dimensions. They have a free download of their premier issue at their website (it's a 67 page pdf file): http://scrapbookdimensions.com/main/index.php?option=com_magazine&Itemid=10024

Wendy, I tried the tutorial for Making Scrapbook Charms and it was very easy to follow using the Elliptical Marquee tool. It's fun making the Scrapbook Charms.
I have a questions as to using the custom heart shape to make scrapbook charms and I will post those questions in a new thread so that it will not get lost in this thread.

Diana, thanks for the link to Scrapbook Dimensions. Do you have to register to receive the free download of the premier issue? I didn't see a place to click for the pdf file.

I've subscribed to the Digital Scrapbooking mag too ... got it at $11.99 for a year, when I visited their website a few months ago. They were soliciting new subscribers and offering a deal. It hasn't arrived in my mailbox yet. Can't wait!

Anyone know where I can buy the premier issue now? What B&M stores are they at? I am afraid my subscription might not start in time?

Did anyone from out of the USA subscribe to this magazine? I subscribed in March. Their FAQ states that Canadian & International orders should take 8-12 weeks to arrive....as it is now 13 weeks and I haven't received anything I e-mailed them. Just received a reply:
A review of your account shows that the August/September 2007 issue is currently en route to you. You should receive the August/September 2007 issue by August 10, 2007.
That will be getting on for 5 months!! I would have expected to have received the June/July issue if not the one before that. I'm not very impressed with their service and was just wondering what other people's experiences were.

I live inside the USA, but had a poor experience with their service as well. I initially wrote a check to pay them for a 1-year subscription, but they cashed the check and received double the money (as shown on my bank statement). When I emailed them about the issue, they wrote back that they had received the extra money but I'd been credited for only 1 year's subscription.
It took awhile to fix this - primarily through my bank, which saw that my check was clearly written for the lower amount and took care of it from their end.
I hope this is not an ongoing thing - maybe just simple start-up problems?
