I have 2 catalogs one for 2006 and another for 2007. Pictures that I put in the 2007 catalog that were taken in 2007 appeared in the 2006 catalog. They also appeared in the 2006 catalog with the wrong tag. What happened? Please help?

Hello Sue and welcome to the forum,
I would first open each catalog in turn and then do a File>Catalog>Recover. This will help straighten out the underlying MS Access databases.

As for the photos crossing years (2007 photos in 2006), how are you loading the pictures into Organizer? They should only go into the Organizer you have open at the time. Are you using File Get Photos manually?

If you wish, you can open the 2007 catalog, select the pictures you don't want and then hit delete. Do not pick Delete From Hard Drive. This will clear those images out of the catalog.

As for tags, you may have to manually retag the images that are effected.

Finally, most people have only one catalog as you can only have one catalog open at a time. If you find you want to make a slide show or a collection, that has some photos from 2007 and some photos from 2006, you will find this difficult. In a single catalog, you can use the time line to find those photos by each year. How many catalogs to use is strictly a personal preference so there is nothing "wrong" with the way you have them set up.

Thank you for your response. I'll try it. I need separate catalogs because their for a school and I do yearly projects ie yearbook etc.
Thanks
