I have scanned an image (the back cover of a book) and it contains photos as well as text. Some of the text is white on a black background while the rest is red on the black background. I want to change it so that all the text is black on a white background.

One option is for me to use the paint fill tool on each individual letter in the text, but I am hoping for something which is perhaps just a little more efficient!!

I am using PSE 4,

Can anyone help please.

Thanks in advance.

Robert,

If as you say all the text is on a black background, can you use the Magic Wand to select the background, invert it so the text is selected & move it (Ctrl-J) to its own layer? Then select the white & red text individually with the Magic Wand & fill each selection with black. Lastly put a new layer filled with white beneath the text.
