Layers Course - Elements 5??

Per the forum recommendations, I enrolled in the layers class last night but only had time to look at the opening session for a few minutes. Just from what I was seeing, it appears to be geared to Elements 4, and looks quite different than what I see in my version of Elements. My question is will I have trouble following the instructions with the newer version? Or am I just missing something all together? Will do both 1 and 2 lessons tonight. Thanks to all for your suggestions!

The layer features and concepts he mentions and talks about will work fine in version 5. There are a few differences in the way things look, and version 5 is missing a feature called Global Lighting (which is a fairly significant omission, actually), but the basics of layers will apply and work in both 4 & 5.

As others have said, feel free to ask any questions if you get stuck or confused by the two different versions. :)
