Mp3 editing software

Anyone know of a program ( free or shareware) that will allow me to cut an mp3 file exactly where I want so as to make 20 second clips from various mp3 files and combime them into one larger file?

check out ACID, from Sony - there's several different versions like Photoshop (a full-scale & a cut-down one, including, I think, a freeware version)

Audacity (http://www.download.com/Audacity/3000-2170_4-10058117.html) - very powerful, free... you will have to study it a bit but it is worth it.
