I think the participation in last week's theme may have been the best ever. Lets keep the momentum going.

Thanks to Byron for suggesting this week's theme .... Something Broken.

I will go first. This is a picture of a picture. Cody broke his leg jumping off the couch when he was 1 yr old. He is now 14.

I go second........

If you look close you can see the water leaking out. I couldn't get a good angle to show this better, 2 lane road with lots of traffic and no place to park.

BUT at least it is broken!

I know I cheated, but this was the other image I found at the lake this weekend. Please don't be mad I tried two images:cool: http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/16X3KZ3T3roHIE7FPFFrwaEBQIZUi_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=16X3KZ3T3roHIE7FPFFrwaEBQIZUi)

I thought this is really a cool picture, with lots of texture and stuff. And I did about nothing to it in elements besides to a lighting issue and crop.

Our granddaughter, Ari, pushed over this small statue (~2-ft. tall) and knocked off a big chunk of the wing... so I guess you could say that our little angel broke our little angel!! :p

(Of course, my wife assures me that it is my fault for not watching the child Every Single Second...)

I'm having trouble with this week's...
When the snow is gone, and I can walk in the yard w/out leaving muddy paths, I have lots of work getting rid of 2+ months worth of broken branches :D

Sometimes you just have to break something to get the picture - and it was breakfast time anyway :)

I've wanted to smash this for a looong time. Finally found a valid excuse.

Ok, for my first post I thought I would get in on this photo theme. This is my poor broken hearted daughter when her brothers wouldn't let her paint with them.

Well my drive is being dug up as I type. I think this picture fits in perfectly with this week's theme!

Unfortunately I didn't think to grab the camera when the pipes under the kitchen sink broke off; was to busy grabbing towels. So here is a diorama my daughter did a few years ago.

I find old derelict buildings rather fascinating and took the camera out to this amazing old farmhouse this week. Don't know anything of its history but it looks like everything just got abandoned many years ago, house, tractors, farm equipment, cars, trucks and has got overgrown ever since. Hard to see in summer but at this time of the year it is a bit easier to explore with a camera - and everything is definitely broken :)

I combined 3 images and did a partial B&W conversion to give it that haunted look - and I'm sure the place is haunted - it has that feel about it

There are quite a few broken things in this bland photo. One is my old Windows based computer (piece of junk) that I haven't figured out what to do with. The old HP Photosmart film scanner gives nice grainy images. There is an old caboose phone on the wall that obviously doesn't work, and it came from the caboose in the picture that slid off a cliff, so that doesn't work either. And an old brick car phone on top of that which I keep for laughs; it still has a dial tone when put into the cigarette lighter, but no service, so I guess that's busted too. You can sit in the chair though.

I don't know what this is, but I'm fairly sure I'm responsible for it being broken.

Well, almost late again but here is my broken lamp. I can't bring myself to throw it away and hope to eventually find a replacement shade. This lamp was discontinued by Fenton and it has always been my favorite.
