PSE 5 and Office 2007

I bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium, and put PSE 5 (5.02), and MS Office 2007.

My problem with PSE5 is when I want to email with Outlook, it wont start??? I pick the photos, select the recipients, when I pick next, nothing happens.

It worked great with XP. Is it PSE5, Outlook 2007, or Vista????

Anyone else having this problem?

I've not even had a chance to play with Office 2007 yet... Lucky you :) I will receive my test machines within a couple of weeks.

I seem to remember there were some issues with IE7 and Outlook. Not sure of the versions, and I don't remember what the problems were. I just recall that there was a lot of noise regarding emailing when IE7 was released.

yes, I have this exact same problem (I am using 5.0.2, Vista and Outlook 2007). I actually just recommended to a friend to buy Photoshop Elements because of the nice e-mail features. Well, he also has Vista and it just does nothing with Outlook 2007.

I did notice that if I selected the "send as attachments" method, it brought up a window in Windows Mail (The Vista version of Outlook Express), even though I have selected Outlook as my mail program. Then Photoshop stopped responding when I tried to complete the e-mail.

There is definitely a problem between the Vista mail interface (MAPI?) and Photoshop. Adobe should get some resources on this before they continue to tout their Vista compatibility. Does Adobe monitor these forums?

Also, I was using XP and IE7 and Outlook 2000 without any trouble. And my XP machines work fine with Outlook Express. So at least I can use those machines to send e-mails from Photoshop.

I have not upgraded to Vista or Office 2007 yet, but there is a patch available for PSE 5 that some say is for Vista that may correct some of your problems.

I wish it were that simple. The patch for Vista is the version 5.0.2 update. So both myself and the starter of this thread had already tried that. Hopefully there is another patch to come which solves the additional problems.

Contacting Adobe?. . . yes, that's what I should have done. of course, they make it so convenient. . . .

But now that version 6 is out, I want to ask - is anybody out there able to use the send mail feature from within the Organizer to send mail in Vista. I use Vista and Outlook 2007 and every time I send mail from PSE5, it crashes the Organizer. I have tried it on another Vista machine, and I have tried it with Windows Mail, etc. . . . no luck. Hopefully version 6 got the Vista kinks out.

I plan to upgrade to PSE6, but i might not if this problem isn't fixed.

I just upgraded to PSE 6. I have a brand new DEll XPS 410 running Vista home premium and Office home 2007. I don't have Outlook but email with Vista Windows mail works fine. I will try any features if you would like.

It also converted my PSE 4 files and tags just fine.
