View Full Version : How do I "apply" edit to photo without exiting?

I'm getting the hang of editing photos in Elements 3.0, but I don't see how to enter or apply the edits into the photo. When I exit Elements (close the entire program) I get a message asking wether I want to save the edited photo then, but I don't see how to do that without exiting the program. When I edit a photo, and then go into the photo browser, a bar appears across the edited photo saying that an edit is in progress. How do I complete the edit without exiting?

basically a simple way is to do a 'save as' be sure 'include in organizer' and 'as a copy' is checked then choose 'close' from file. You can then proceed to the Organizer and your image should be clear for you to use.

Or, you can just overwrite your old unedited file with the new file changes by clicking on the save icon in the upper left corner of your editor. This is the one-click-wonder-save-all button.
I find it the most useful. Jodie's way of saving is great if you want a copy of the original image to remain untouched. I'm a bit more daring ;) with my saved files...

Thank you very much. I'm getting the hang of it now.
