The rest of the image (which was cropped out) includes a garish gas station and a couple ugly warehouse/office buildings!

I must have been more tired than I thought last night. Partial view, cropping didn't even occur to me. The thought in my head was sometimes in a hotel they give you a room with a partial view and it is what Chuck's photo obviously was originally. Partial, cropped, DUHHHHHH!!!!!!! Now that was a total blonde moment, dumby me, I am after all on a forum for PSE.:D :D :D

Nice photo Chuck! Great crop :) Nice to be able to cut out the riff raff.

Cold weather looks good to me were hitting 85 during the day right now.

Kim, thanks! I'm in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska - heading over to Valdez tomorrow and hoping to get in a few photo sessions during breaks from work.

It is so beautiful up there. My brother was stationed in Juneau when he was in the Army and he often went to Anchorage. He loved it up. I think if he could have talked his wife into he would have stayed there.

It's pretty harsh up here in the winter, and in December they have like 5 hours of partial daylight. I think the darkness would get to me more than the cold. Highest temperature I've seen since arriving last Sunday: 29 degrees F today. Lowest: about 5 below F.

But it sure is fun in the summer!
