Anyone else following the coverage on the Photo Marketing Assoc. show in Vegas that started today? Lots of interesting gadgets and cameras being introduced. Popular Photography (www.popphoto.com) has a daily report.

Thanks for the link!

I've found this :
http://www.popphoto.com/photonews/3847/canon-unveils-hybrid-pocket-camera.html

It shoots in HD (720p) and sounds interesting (as a gadget, probably not as a main camera). But, the quality could be surprisingly good!

www.dpreview.com - is also doing daily coverage. The new Kodak Z712is looks interesting. I'll definately be watching for the hands on reviews, since I'm still searching for a new camera. I'm hoping it will have some manual controls.

The KODAK EASYSHARE Z712 IS Zoom Digital Camera combines an impressive 12X optical zoom lens (36-432 mm equivalent SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON) with optical image stabilization, delivering superior performance to aspiring photographers. The 7.1 megapixel camera boasts best-in-class click-to-capture performance (0.26 sec.) with superb picture quality at an affordable price, making it a solid alternative to digital SLRs. Available in April, the KODAK EASYSHARE Z712 IS Zoom Digital Camera will retail for US $299.95 (MSRP).
