A long while back I found some lighting effects files that would emulate different kinds of studio lighting, but I can't make them work in PSE5. I'm not really sure where they came from or where they could be used. Possibly CS2. Does anyone know of a URL that I can go to and get studio lighting effects for us in PSE5?

Hi ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Just wonder if you mean the lighting effects in Filter>Render>Lighting Effects ??

Thank you for the quick response. The Filter/Render/Lighting effects.... are not what I'm looking for. These are "addons" that I can add to the existing effects in PSE5. The file names emulated studio setups with different quantities of lights in different positions.

Hi ....
I really can't think of anything like that ... the only lighting addon I can remember is Knoll Light Factory ...

Could it possibly be Filter>Render>Lighting Effects? The dropdown Style box has stuff like Three Spotlights, Flashlight, Five Lights Up plus a bunch of sliders. Have to admit I have not used this a lot.

You can try www. autofx.com for their Mystical Lighting software. There is a sample on the subscriber download page for the Dreamy effect.

Wendy, my bad. I skimmed over the posts and did not realize you had already offered your suggestion when I posted my answer.

Thanks to everyone that responded. It's time for me to do the research of the sites you suggested. Again thanks and I'll report back on what I find.

HC,
One of the after effects I've enjoyed is the Beautifier by Red Paw. And it's a freebie! They also have a few others. http://www.redpawmedia.com/beautifier.html And here's another site with free effects. http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/freeware.htm

Thank you all again for the info. I checked on Luce Light Effects and they only do Photoshop 7+ as a plug-in. Also Knoll Light Factory is a plug-in for Photoshop 6+. The Mystical Lighting at www.autofx.com looks very interesting and I'm considering getting it, but it will only work as a standalone and not as a plug-in to PSE5.
Now I'm going to go check on the new information. Thanks Mary Ann.

Thanks Mary Ann. They really aren't the lighting effects that I'm looking for, but the filters were great. I downloaded the Beautifier and the GradFilter from Red Paw Media. I downloaded sets 2 and 3 from Xero Media. Again thanks.
