Hi Everyone,
It is Strawberry time in Florida:D ..and ...
Since I am not downloading fonts for awhile, I thought I would give a try at "playing" with some I already have.:p
This little recipe is a 'no-fail' ...one does not even have to really measure, just do it and it is wonderful. I made it for Megan for her b-day last week.
Now, once upon a time (way back) I used to make my sugar cookie dough myself (from Mama's Christmas cookie recipe). now, it is Pillsbury and the doughboy;)

Enjoy,
m
ps: I did add a bit of Jodie's LS .
background is from v.5 + I adjusted the strawberries a bit.

Oh, yum! I've made a similar thing- a fruit pizza, with kiwi, and blueberries, and strawberries... it's making me long for summer fruits...

I get "requests' every year from friends on this one.
I've made it with other fruit too,I just like the strawberries better.
Maybe living in Tampa has something to do with it.
Try it and enjoy, I promise, if I make it ..it has to be easy!:D
also, one can use the low fat, low whatevers in it too.

The 'big' berry bottom right is real. It fit across the palm of my hand, and that is not photoshopped. (I have the original photo)
Butch, I hope you mean making recipes..not cooking:p

Michelle sounds yummy. I'm not a cook but maybe I can handle this one. I made a bannana pudding last week and forgot to put sugar in it, no joke. My kids ate it anyway. I love Florida and visit there every chance I can. Can't wait to get the strawberries.

Oh Michelle that looks Great!!! I picked up some Plant City strawberries this past weekend, and made some shortcake for dessert with my folks.

I never thought to use it in PSE! Great idea, I will never look at food the same again :D

Wow a strawberry pizza.....never would have come up with that one

Actually the only pizza we ever eat is the regular one. I'm sure if I show this to my daughter she'll want it straight away - pizza is her favourite food and strawberries are her favourite fruit :D

Great layout Michelle!!

Thanks Michelle. I always have to make something 'strawberry' for Sara's birthday (next month). I think I'll try that one.
I love recipes. I just submitted 23 of my "best" recipes for a cookbook fundraiser for my son's middle school band. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks everyone! I'm making another today to "deliver" to Megan and her friends at work.
Wendy, when you mentioned once at SG about recipes, I started putting some together as 4x6 LO for Megan, in a little folder.
She's loving it, and I get to "play" with fonts etc.

Kimh-would love to see some of what you put in the cookbook fundraiser. Some of my most favorite dishes are from cookbooks like that.

Michelle,

Great use of the fonts for a great layout! Thanks for the recipe, I'll have to give it a try when we have better berries here (they're not very sweet right now). My parents are supposed to go to the Strawberry Festival with a group from their RV park, they must be going soon.

Hi Michelle ...

I really liked the idea of a recipe exchange and have passed the idea on ... but have not yet received and word about if they are going ahead with it :(

Wendy, what recipe exchange are you doing?

Michelle,

That does look good will have to give it a try. Have you been to Plant City and had one of their Shortcakes? If you haven't been there and do decide to go don't eat to much before going. It is big enough to be a meal. Will look for a picture of it and post on my gallery. We were there a couple of years ago.

Rachel, your shortcake looks yummy!! I do enjoy the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, and it is in session now. Several years ago, Megan's dance company performed there too. So of course....gotta eat!:p
In my younger days, I used to go and pick berries on the farms, when they opened the fields up as: U PIC'EM. (you have to take your own containers too).
I used to make everything imaginable with a strawberry, incl. some beverages:D

I do hope over at SG they do the recipe thing, or I guess we could do our own here:confused: -like the joke thread...just a thought.

I'll play!

What a great LO and yummy looking dessert. I love the ease of the recipe. Some of the local stores are having a buy one, get one free on strawberries and I now know where my fresh strawberries are going.
