And I was really wondering when one of the camera manufacturers would finally come up with this new D90 feature: "By eliminating the photographer, Nikon plan to eliminate lousy photos altogether." We all know it's always the photographer, never the camera that's responsible for lousy photos ;)

They've compensated for that by including the option of taking photos without the photographer. This leaves YOU--the photographer--free to be wherever doing whatever!

It's a best of both worlds sorta deal.
