I'm going to buy me a new video camera. its gonna be either Sony DCR-SR190E (http://www.sony.dk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DCR-SR190E&site=odw_da_DK&pageType=Overview&category=SDH+Hard+Disk+Drive) or DCR-SR290E (http://www.sony.dk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DCR-SR290E&site=odw_da_DK&pageType=Overview&category=SDH+Hard+Disk+Drive) (sorry for the links being in danish. Couldn't find the products on the .com page.

My question is how good will a still picture from those babies be ?
If I'm on a vacation and like taking a drive. Can i just bring that video camera and also use it for still pictures. Or will the quality suck compared to a real digital camera ?

I know it is a camera that is not being sold yet. But maybe some knows anyway :)

The first camera is a 4 megapixle and the second a 6.1. Out of the two the second is better, however either one is enough to make a good 8x10.
