Hi Guys,
I found photoshopelements 3, 4, & 5 (see pic) at c:\adobe
Can I delete 3 & 4 and not interfer with 5? I have nothing of value in the older versions.
Probably the same answer will apply to the older reader versions also.

You can delete them without harming 5. I kept 3 anyway because I have the PET actions installed and they won't work on newer versions.

Uninstalling earlier versions has been known to completely remove Adobe Gamma from a system. If you require that, then you will likely need to do an overlay re-install of v5 after you uninstall the earlier versions.

Let me expand a little on Byron's comments. It is correct that you will loose Adobe Gamma when uninstalling any previous versions of Elements. However, it turns out that PSE5 does not automatically install Adobe Gamma. It is available though, on the install disk, in the Goodies folder and can be installed from there. A complete reinstall will not be necessary and would not do the job anyway. Here is some more information:
