Recently when I download pictures to my computer, Album Starter 3.0 opens up and imports my photos to a new catalogue.

Am I correct in understand that PSE 4 is independent of Album Starter 3.0? I do not want to start any new catalogues and want to keep what I already have in PSE4.

As I said I am confused. Can I uninstall Album Starter 3.0 without deleteing the catalogue in PSE4? Or at least disable Album Starter 3.0.

Not sure when or how I got this copy of Album Starter 3.0.

Would someone kindly explain this to me.

What I have been doing when the Album Starter 3 opens up is that I redirect my photos to an old directory and then open up Pse4 Organizer and import them. In the past It used to be easy to download directy to the PSE4 Organizer. Not sure what happened.

Hi, I don't remember if it was when I registered my PSE or some other time I was at Adobe and I ended up with the photo Album; probably wasn't paying attention. Adobe kept pestering me to register the Album - so I just deleted it. I had never installed it. If you have it installed you will need to uninstall it.

Thank you for your input.

I too keep getting the message to register the Album Starter 3. I never installed it, it just appeared.

I will definately uninstall the program.

Thanks again for your response, appreciate it.

I believe I have heard that the Adobe Reader update automatically adds Album SE3. This may be where all these pesky programs are coming from.

Adobe Reader

I think that either when you download or do updates for Adobe Reader, Adobe Photoshop Album 3 Starter Edition is listed and it may appear to some people as if you MUST download it in order to use Adobe Reader - not true of course.
