Hi,
My youngest daughter will get 18 yo soon! I plan to give her a new camera. It is pretty difficult to choose a new one as there is a lot of choice. She is very active, doing duo fixed trapezium (scary!). She would like to get a digital camera with video capabilities but I cannot pay too much money, something in the middle cost like a Cannon A530. Then, if some people may bring me some ideas, it would be great.

Hi

Been a while since you have been around.:)

I was going to suggest the 530.:D I got one for my kids (20 amd 18) at Christmas.
It is a very highly recommended camera, although I can't comment on the video capabilities.

Hi,
I am pretty busy since I 'm going back to full-time school. I am missing time! my camera is stored in my bag since a while :( I can't wait to get time to take pictures, maybe after the end of session. In this spring, I would like to go back to Parc Lafontaine which is very inspiring. It is about time to update my gallery!!!
Thank you for your input,
:)

If you are unsure about which product is best check read expert reviews. Using PriceGrabber.com(http://www.pricegrabber.com/info_expertreviews.php/masterid=7139451)
I came across a cool site that list all expert reviews for a product in a single page. I hope this helps: http://www.smartratings.com/photography/digital_cameras.

I have it's little brother, the A540 and for casual shooting, it's great. I also have a 10D so I can compare ;)

Good price, good picture quality, but best of all, real batteries (easily replaceable during trips, if required), and very light weight. The ideal photo shooting companion.
