I'm seriously thinking of buying a Canon Rebel XTi and have been reading all I can on the web about the camera and lenses. In my surfing, I found these sites I thought were worth sharing.

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/
(and under this same forum, these threads:)
Canon DSLR's and Lenses 101 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=249006)
Downloadable Table of Lenses & Angles of View (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=257659)
(need to register to get these, but it's free)
EF Lens FAQ (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=86975)

Canon EOFs Beginners FAQ (http://photonotes.org/articles/beginner-faq/)
(Over 60 pages of answers to very basic questions that newbies ask)
One question I had to laugh at on the bottom of this site was "Why are people on discussion groups such mean snobs?" I guess they never visited our forum.:D

I had to laugh at the comment about "Why are people on discussion groups such mean snobs?" ... make me realise just how lucky we are here :)

Diana:

I have the Canon Rebel XT which I purchased just about a year ago. I absolutely love it!!! I think you will be very happy if you purchase the xti.

If the XTi is your first EOS SLR, don't hesitate and go for it. You will love it.
