I would love to know the story behind this layout. Is this a professional group or a family group. I love the viewmaster reel. It is real or did you create it? Very nice job!

Oh, that is really cool! I'm anxious to hear the story too.
The link didn't show up for me, but I'm having network problems, so it could just be me, but here it is in case it's really not there:

Yes!! I can finally contribute something. (LOL) I saw one of these done on a scrapbook page a while back and since I know I'm not good enough to do it from scratch, I search the digital stores and found one. I purchased a set of viewmaster reels (big windows and little windows) and it also comes with a viewmaster from digitalscrapbookplace.com. If you type viewmaster reel in the search box it will come up. I think it was $3.99. They have some really nice kits there too. Let me know if you have any questions.

Your gallery is great....I enjoyed viewing it. The Woodstove Flapjack images are particularly intriguing.

Hi, Nanci! The Woodstove Flapjacks are a bluegrass group. Working guys who get through their day jobs and play weekends at mostly local places when they get the opportunity. If you like that genre of music, they're very entertaining. I had the chance recently to hear them and I had my cameras with me so I decided to play around! You can hear some of their music here. www.woodstoveflapjacks.com
The Reverend Peyton (guy in blue striped shirt) is another group which tours nationally and was also playing that evening. He sat in on a couple of numbers with the Flapjacks which explains the photo. He is an amazing guitarist and he, his wife and his brother put on a great show.
I scanned in a viewmaster reel to make the one I used in the composite. There are several packages available to purchase that include reels but it wasn't hard to take that idea and use a scanned reel. I added a color overlay to make it look even more aged.
This was a great way to use some photos that really were too fuzzy to print large.

Thanks for the history. There's not much I don't enjoy with music. My family has deep roots in the hills of southern Illinois on my dad's side and bluegrass music is a nice change of pace.
I thought the reel looked awfully authentic. Very nice job on the layout.
