I've been lurking and admiring for weeks, and now that I'm on day 4 of the layers training, thought it was time to post my first effort.
I'm so glad I learned about linking and moving 'cos I did each of those frames and photos separately :) . No doubt there's an easier way, but I haven't learned that yet. :D
Cheers
Sue

Sue,
nice one, no great one! When you finished your layers course think about taking the Creative Techniques by Corey. It will really increase your mastery of Elements, mind it's so complex that I think I'll be learning forever!!

Sue,
Welcome to another Sandgroper. Your layout is wonderful, did you take the photos yourself? I love the gum leaves down the right hand side - well done.
Karen :)

Kev, Karen, Mark
Thank you. My son warned me recently 'don't let the computer take over your life, mum' but I think it's too late. This is so much fun!:) :) :)
Yes Karen, I did take the photos tho' can't take credit for the background. Kirsten Smit designed an 'Australiana' kit, one of only two that I've found and it's her page with gum leaves that I've used here, tho' I did change the colour.

Lovely LO. Beautifully put together, and Welcome to the forum.
Karen, I was going to ask about the 'gum leaves' along the side.
but I was going to have to ask what they were.:) . I had not heard of
them before.

Thank you for your welcome and kind comments. Glad you like the LO and pics.
Michelle, I believe gum trees (AKA eucalypts) grow well in California tho' are not popular because they tend to drop their branches without warning - they do that here too :) They also have beautiful flowers about this time of the year so it's a good time to try out some of Lee's photo tips.
Yes Kimh, I think I'm hooked - but if I ever go to rehab for this addiction, I know I'll be among friends :D

Hi Sue and welcome to Elements Addicts. I think you did a great job. One observation, it appears that you did a beveled edge on all the photos but the top left. Did you purposely do that to make the one stand out a little more or is it just my monitor that isn't showing the bevel?
I have no doubt we will see some more great works from you in the future.

Hi Kim
Thanks for your welcome and comments. I'd like to say that I left off the bevel deliberately, but the truth is 'ooops!'
I must remember to check thoroughly before I decide a LO is complete.

Sue, with or with out the bevel on that one photo, it is still a great job. We all make small mistakes like that. I have a habit of forgetting to put in my drop shadow when I fully intend to. I get into something and new idea for it pops up and I forget to add things I meant to.:D

Sue, great job! Hey, we all make mistakes and sometimes forget one little thing! It's happened to me lots of time!
Keep up the good working. And yeah, I'm so glad we can link layers! That's an important one for me.
