Denise, as I just mentioned in another thread I love your gallery. Jackson and Maddie are getting so big so fast and they are so adorable. I just love THIS (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=17753) effect. Can I get that action somewhere for PSE5?

THIS (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=17741) one is just precious too.

Since you asked in the other thread how to do the link in a word I had to do it here. Hope my instructions worked for you.

Denise, very sweet pictures of the baby. Do you use CS2 more than Elements?

Denise,
I want to add my praise for you gallery. You have done such wonderful work; like Kim asked, is this an effect we can find for PSE5? Did you take the pictures yourself? I had to go back and look 2 more times as it was so touching.

Thanks Kim for directing us too Denise's gallery.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!! Yes, I did take the pictures myself, except the ones with me. My friend took those using my camera and settings. I just told her to get the image in focus and shoot. She did good. So my apologies for only submitting pics of my kids, but its been hard to get out lately. But they make good models for practicing my photo settings and techniques.

I did start a thread in this post called, "EZ Actions by Photoblast"...but should have put it somewhere else, I guess.

EZ Actions (http://www.ezactions.com) are developed by John Wright of Photoblast Photography for both Photoshop and Elements. Got the ideas from a photo critique from the mpix forum (Post 1 (http://forums.mpix.com/thread/241553.aspx), Post 2 (http://forums.mpix.com/thread/259674.aspx);)The action I purchased, porcelain action, was applied to two of my photos in the gallery using Photoshop just because all I had to do was install the action and press go. Can't get much easier than that. I did download the PSE version, just haven't have the time to try it.
After performing the action in PhotoshopCS2 and did some dodging, I then went to PSE for perform touch-ups, cropping etc. In addition to this technique, you can also add a touch of color to add a real nice effect as well. Still playing with that....however, I did apply the Orton effect (http://www.pcin.net/update/index.php/2006/11/01/the-orton-effect-digital-photography-tip-of-the-week/) to soften up the image.. After all was said and done, I applied a touch of the Noiseware filter to get rid of any graininess.

Again, thanks everyone!

Denise, thanks for the info and the links. I have just downloaded the Demo. We don't mind at all that your kids are in your gallery. They are so adorable and you do such great things with the photos.

Oh for those inquirying about the lens used....indoor portraits were taken using the 50mm f/1.4 no flash (iso 100-400) and outdoor shots were taken using the 85mm f/1.8.

Thanks Kim!! And thank you for the link help. Sure cleans up the paragraph and helps in making references. Enjoy the demo.... After just purchasing the Porcelain action, I've learned a lot about making layers. But I still like the "out of the box" option as well. :)

Oh and another technique that did with Jack's face and eyes, was the Paint by light....using the levels mask.

Denise, both of those lens are on my Wish List. I have been looking at the site and have added a few of the actions to the shopping cart including the porcelain and paint by light. I know I will use those two even with out the full set. Not to sure I will use some of them. Will know better after I get to try out the demo tomorrow. Have to go now and get ready for work. Bummer, I want to play.:D

Glad to have been of help with the links.
