I have always wanted to try something like this. Not quiet sure I got it just right yet. Hope you like it. And as always, suggestions and comments welcome.
Edit: Link removed because origianl post removed to add new version with drop shadow. Image is in my gallery and in the Pixtentral thumbnail below.

I like it very much. I do think you could put a shadow underneath the bottle though.

Sherrie, thanks for that. I have had a heck of time today. I had to redo this three times. First my computer locked up and then Elements said I didn't have enough ram to save it. I kept forgetting all the steps I did and the drop shadow was one of them.
Glad you like it.

Thanks Tom.
Here is the drop shadow version. Do I need to reduce the opacity of it a little? I have also changed it in my gallery but posting it on Pixentral too.

It's perfect. You did a great job.
Make sure you save a bunch. I do every two layers. I have an older machine and it doesn't like PSE5. Hopefully, my hubby will get a new job soon and I can buy a new one!

Kim,
Great idea .....
One thing I noticed is that the light on the roses appears to be coming from the upper right. The "bottle itself" appears to be in shadow on the right side and the bottom shadow is directly below. Just a small point :o .

Byron, sorry about that. I have removed that link now. Didn't think about it when I changed the image in my gallery.
Kathy, glad you like it. I will look at the light and shadow directions, thanks for pointing it out.

Ok, flipped the roses so that the light appears to be coming from the left side. Darkened the top of the top rose slightly too so as to not look like it is coming from above. Moved the drop shadow a little more to the right also and down just a bit more.

I forgot to mention the background was origianlly from Jodi's new CD then I added a gradient map to it and it changed the colors but left the sparkles that I wanted.

Kim,
It's brilliant. My only thought was whether you could put some sort of glare on the bottle to make it more obvious that the rose is inside.

Thanks Kim and Bayla.
Bayla, I am still experimenting and trying to figure out how to get that glare. Nothing so far looks right.

Wonderful job on that. The flipped roses work much better. Try something different more often - it suits you.;) :D

Thanks Nancy and Simone.
How is this for the glare. Don't ask what I did cause I have no idea. I did it and then went and put the BBQ sauce on the ribs and put them in the oven and came back and can't remember what filter I did this with.

Bayla, I just remembered that if I click the filter option in the top menu it will show me what I used. DUHHHH, another blonde moment.:D It is Sumi-e, then I reduced the opacity on it til I got the right look. Oh and I had to flip it to match the glare to the light direction.
Thanks Wendy, so glad you like it.

Kim,
What's Sumi-e?

Bayla, in PSE5, I went to Filters>Brush Strokes>Sumi-e, its the last on on the list. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Jancy thank you so much for the kind words. I only wish it were true. You have no idea how many things I don't dare post or just flat out trash. I don't post very often but when I do, I always ask for help to get it just right. Some day I will be able to post on with out help.

Kim,
You started out with a great project but you seemed to have a few questions in your mind that maybe you were't seeing all the possiblities for it and wanted to get others ideas. It sure is wonderful to find a forum where people are so glad to help and have such knowledge; I just love it love it love it.
You picture turned out to be a beautiful piece of artwork, will you print it for display in your home?

Thank you Vesta, so glad you like it. It is something I have always wanted to try and always forget about. Not sure if I will print it and hang it yet. I tend to come up with things I want to try and never do because I am not to sure how to finish it off like this and getting the glare right. I will sometimes try them and when I get stuck I will post them to get help from the great people here. With this one I ended up getting the right effect (glare) on my own but it was with the encouragement of everyones comments here that kept me from giving up on it. Who would have thought that using a brush stroke filter with a reduced opacity would give a glass glare effect? And thanks to those who pointed out the other parts I forget, drop shadow and light direction etc.
I may have to revise my specail project from when I found this forum back in August or come up with a new dedication to all of you awesome people.
