Where are Source Files?

I am using Premier Elements v2.0 successfully. However, I can't find the "source" files I need to erase to get back space on my hard drive. Where do they put these files and how can I get rid of them. I have read the manual and it never says exactly where to look. The Locate Media or Media Dialog box it mentions are either not highlighted or nowhere to be found.:confused:
