Hi all,
Just posted two different photos for this week's homework assignment.
Hope you like them. For some unknown reason the second photo works better with this technique. Thanks to kimi for the help setting up the photos in Pixentral.

It is amazing how quick and easy this technique is. Each of the before images were okay but the after images are really great, even those with subtle changes.

Isn't this a great technique? :D :D
Kim, It makes a nice difference in getting rid of the shadows.
Suzi, I like the details it brings out in your second one.
Chas, I like your second one better also. It really brought out the lost details.
Nancy, what a beautiful rose! Did you grow it?
Karen, great on everything.
Bill, cool picture. I love all of the colors.
Tony, she looks like a doll. It made a great difference!
John, I do hope you follow Tony's instructions and try your post again.
Tony, I love that image. Is it a house?
Steven, after my heart... love the cypress trees.
Debra, nice cactus.
I just love the results I get from this. I have it written down and go back to it often. With a little extra work you can really make your image pop!
Thanks to everyone for participating.:D

Kimi: Apologies by posting a comment in the other thread but the second one I posted is in fact John's (I just used his link to post his thumbnail). And, of course, thanks for the comments and the idea to get us trying the technique :)

Thanks, nope - didn't grow it. It was one of 12 my hubby gave me for Valentines Day. I'm not a huge fan of red roses so this year he gave me a dozen mixed colors - which I loved!

i'm trying to submit for this week's creativity homework but i am unsure how to insert the pics into the message. i see some use pixentral but after it's loaded there, how do i insert into the body of the message?

when you load your image at Pixentral. look under the photo and there are two address boxes. you want to copy the one that says forum. I think it a 3 click thing, to highlight the entire address. (make sure you get the enitre address)
when you come back here all you do is hit Ctrl V to paste it under your text. it will show a long address but when you hit submit it turns into a thumbnail.
do try again. :)

dpw... What a big difference that made! :D
I am glad you worked it out.
BTW.. why don't you go into User CP and add a name to you signature so we know who you are. :)

hi,
i tried this technique , and it seems to work (haven't posted my image because i'm having another issue)...but i totally don't understand WHY it works. Kimi, The link you have to the creativebits site doesn't work :(
so my other problem is this - i'm using PSE 5 on windows. When i try to create a blank document, with RGB, i get an error message 'Could not create new document because of a problem using the Adobe color engine'.
anyone know what this means?
thanks,
eleanor

Your images look really good. :D Your other questions has me at a loss, I think you should start a thread and see what kind of answers the techie one can give you.
Andie.. you must be a very busy girl? Glad you stop in from time to time.:D
Wonderful Image!
