I have recently installeded Elements 5.0 and I like it, however I now have problems with XP opening and closing windows as it seems to take forever. I suspect it is the photo loader in my system tray. How do I remove this. I ran msconfig and disabled the only adobe service running. Then when I next started windows it gave a message telling me I had to enable the service again. As I may only download photos occassionally I do not require an always on service as this just eats into cpu time.

Hi ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Being a Mac user I can't help on this one .. but hopefully one of the Windows users will be along soon and will be able to help. Due to the time differences the forum tends to be quiet at this time of day ...

Dennis?
If you open PSE 5 then click on Organiser, then go to Edit - Preferences you will see one for card reader, click on this then make sure the box next to Auto Launch Downloader isn't ticked.
Hope this helps.
