Transferring the licence from one PC to another.

Hi, This might have been answered before. (Sorry if it has.)

I will be getting a new laptop on Friday, 16th of February and have currently Photoshop Elements 5.0 installed on my PC. I have just bought Elements before the holidays and had forgotten about Vista. Surely I can easily transfer the licence for Elements from one PC to another PC? If so, how can it be done?

Hi Ed ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

When you get Elements you get a licence to use it ... you don't have to inform anyone when you change computers ... you can simply install Elements on your new computer.

The only time you would change the registration is if you sell or give away Elements ...then you get it changed to the new owners name :)

So you are saying that when I install it on the new computer....I don't have to enter a serial number or anything...because I get a message saying that it is invalid on another computer!

Hi Ed ...

You do need to enter your serial number ... if it is saying that the number is invalid it likely that you are entering it incorrectly.

Take care with the O and the 0 ... and double check that you are entering all 24 digits

Yes, it has worked on the other computer! Can you download it on as many computers as you want? Currently I have it on two, but want it on three.

Just now to get it to work on the laptop when I get it!
