I have been colourising an old black and white photo and have realized that I have coloured one of the hands blue, the colour of a dress. Now I’m wondering how I can colour this hand with the other hands on the picture. The blue hand is on a layer with a dress and I was hoping to get all the four hands on another layer and colour them. Any suggestion?

Hi Stringbean ...
As long as it is on its own layer it should be easy to correct ... but first we need to know which method you are using to do the colouring :)

Stringbean, good luck. I've done that myself several times. I try to keep each edit on its own layer so I can correct. Good luck.

That’s my problem, I have difficulty remembering how I do things :( . I solved the problem by deleting the level and re-doing it. Thank you both for the help.

If you made a separate layer for each item you're coloring, but just started coloring the hand on the 'dress' layer, all you need to do is erase the color for the hand. If it's on it's own layer, then nothing but the color you laid down over the hand will be removed.
