Hi all: I've been making a few slide shows of the grandchildren to send to relatives and would like to know if anyone has a trusted site they use to purchase Royalty Free music? I only have a few canned pieces that must have came with the Media Player and they are getting a little redundant.
I've been to a few sites but wonder if someone has a particular favorite or one I could download single pieces instead of purchasing a whole CD?
And maybe I'm not even looking in the right places and not sure what I really need. I just want a varitey of music to drag into my shows.
Let me know.

For my slideshows I buy single songs from WalMart.com. They are 88 cents each. Here is the site:
http://musicdownloads.walmart.com/catalog/servlet/MainServlet
These songs can only be used for personal slideshows and cannot be used in any slideshows that are sold.

Here are 2 sites that I use:
Music Bakery (http://www.musicbakery.com/) has excellent tracks but I don't know if they allow free use for personal projects
Freeplay Music (http://www.freeplaymusic.com/) has good stuff and allows free use for personal projects.

my first post :D
anyway i get musics for my projects from opuzz.com
the price is great and so is the selection. They even got 'stingers' which are perfect for opening scenes, intros and ending scenes.
ps/stingers are basically short clips from a full track which are basically couple of seconds long

You're quite welcome Wendy. I just used a piece of his music for a slideshow I did with pix I took of Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight at our Performing Arts Center. Will be used for archive as well as sent to an organization that gave us a grant to bring in the show.

The one man show has existed since the 50's. Has anyone else seen it?

I have not used these folks but they are a startup company and charge $7./selection. You can demo on line.

I have used stock20.com with wonderful results. You can listen to demos...you can buy just one tune...and it will come in several segments of time. It is really neat place.
PS ---sometimes you can buy a discount coupon for their songs off of ebay.
Well worth the money.
