How to do Head Transplant?

Hello Gang!

I hope everyone is well!:)

A lot of you know I joined the subscriber area yesterday. I'm very happy that I did. You were all right about how much info is on this site. WOW!:eek:

I only wish they had a video showing how to do a head transplant, lol! I would love to do this as my first step in learning PSE. Can any one point me to a video or walk me through this?

Monday, I start my layers class. Please let this little 49 year old kid know if you can help him!:) I thought this would be a great place to start??

Hi Tim

Basically all you do is select the head that you want to remove (using whichever selection method you prefer..(selecting takes practice)
Then, for me, cuz I overly cautious, I would ctrl-J and that would put your selection (head) on a new layer.
Then open the picture you want to put the cutout head into (make sure tile or cascade is on so both pictures are open and visible in the editor window.. REMEMBER that part for your layers class:D) then drag the layer with the cutout head onto your new photo.

Position, resize and tadaa.

Of course it is harder to blend and get the lighting right but that is a start.
