Hi Everyone,

I just became a member of the subscriber area this morning. Wow! I'm so glad I did.:) I can't believe how much info is on this site! I watched about 10 videos, and was blown away by what I can do with this program.

Question? I thought I would get an e-mail with some kind of receipt of payment? I also don't see a contact number if I needed to ask the folks who run the site a question?

Please let me know if this is normal.(no receipt of any kind)

Next...Layers:)

Thanks,

Tim

Tim, Hi and Welcome. Glad you becacme a member and as you see there is so much for members. You will get a confirmation e-mail. It just isn't instant. There also is a number for Customer Service in the contact link. I'll get it for you and come back and post it.

EDIT: Here is the number, 1.866.808.2793. You can find the contact information on the home page at the bottom of the page.

Hi Tim ...

Glad that you are enjoying the Subscriber Area ... it really is a great source of information. There are so many tutorials and Video in there that its going to take a long time to work your way throught them :) ... don't forget to take a look in the Downloads section too :)

I'm not sure about the receipt as I just can't remember but if ever you need to contact them then the number is:

Phone: (toll-free) 866.808.2793

(Its on the Home Page, scroll down to the bottom ... and you will see contact :) )

Thank you both for the phone number. I still don't see it, lol. I'll find it soon.

Wendy, I just downloaded one of the files. Can you tell this rookie what I do with it? I know how to unzip files, but what's inside? Are they projects to work on?

Thank you for the lessons you are giving me on all this.:)

Hi Tim-

Welcome. I'm sure you'll enjoy!

What file did you download? Where you put it will depend on what it is.

Ok, I found it. I was looking for a phone number:o ....as in 12345,lol

I just talked to someone and was told it takes one business day to receive a receipt. That's cool with me. Just wanted to make sure. I will get it on Monday, so I'll wait for that because I was told I would get a break on the cost of the layers course.:) :)

Thanks again!

Hi Tim ...

Chrome is a layer style ... and its a good one :)

For PSE5 try installing it this way :)

Installing Layer Styles PSE5. First make sure that the "Show hidden folders and files" option is turned on in Windows. Then create a Shortcut on the desk top to:

C: Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>5.0>Photo Creations>Special Effects>Layer Styles

To install a Layer Style just create a new folder (if you need to), pop the .asl file (or files) in it and then drop the folder on the shortcut ... restart Elements and the layer style then shows up in Special Effects>Layer Styles

So Wendy, I must ask...knowing there isn't a 5.0 for Mac, and knowing you love and adore your Mac...do you have a rogue Windows machine humming away in the corner, so you can help answer 5.0 questions? ;)

Hmm...maybe I could convince the powers that be that I need a Mac...:D

Warning!!! If you run Windows on a Mac, make sure you have virus protection installed. Mac gets no viruses but when you open it up yo use windows, you open it up for the chance of getting some. BillandCat
