Hi there ..

... as far as I am aware there are no books written specifically for the Mac ... usually the books cover both Mac & Windows :) (well apart from PSE5 ones)

I have pse4 and I'm using a Mac osx10 and although there isn't a book for it, I am using the book for pse3. The changes and additions made for four are not many (albeit very good,) so to learn, I depend heavily upon the wonderful people here on the forum and a book written for elements three. Beleive me, I have many challenges and not because of any book! So, as somebody once said, "Try it, you'll like it." BillandCat

The book for PSE3 says under Getting Started Page 1

'The lessons in this book are designed to be used only on Win 2000 / XP'.

'Some files, steps and descriptions in this book won't apply to Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 for Macintosh'

A would think a little bit contradictory

My guess is that the picture files wont install and the key presses will be different - Otherwise the methods should be OK

Maybe the files will convert to Mac format ?

Hi ...

The only differences between PSE3 Windows and PSE3 Mac are ... no Organiser with the Mac version, the workspace looks a little different and the Shortcuts are very slightly different ... but that all.

All the different images open in both ... and brushes, layer styles gradients etc etc etc all work in both versions. (Plugins are specific to the platform ... but everything else is just fine)

As far as things like books and tutorials are concerned you will not have a problem with them ...

Wendy :)
