View Full Version : Ideas for Digital Scrapbooking Career(s)???

I have fallen in love with Digital Scrapbooking & wondered if anyone had any ideas on "second career" opportunities in this field.

I have read books on this topic and would really only enjoy being a "commissioned" scrapbooker where I would create layouts for people who just don't have the time or desire to do it for themselves. I have shown others my work and they seem impressed (so far, only using my "skill" for birthday gifts, etc.). Any suggestions on getting started, what to charge (or expect), etc.? Anyone else doing this?

Thanks, Sandi

Hi Sandi,

How about printing out some of your work and taking it to a local photographer ... sometimes they will out source this type of work :) ... or let you advertise in their shop.

Hi Sandi

I was searching for stores in my area the other day and came across this place

http://www.designsbeyondpaper.com/

There is no address, at least that I could find. They seem to offer the services that you were thinking about.

Maybe an email to them and they could help you out.

I'm sure there are lots of this out there, I just happened to stumble upon these people last weekend so it was fresh in my mind (at least how I found the site was). Kind of weird, I usually dismiss searches when its not what I want but when I saw your post I remembered the site.

Gary.

Were you able to start a scrapbooking career. I have an interest in this also and wanted to generate some ideas on how to begin...I was thinking of partnering with wedding photographers and scrapping wedding books since I have done 2 already. That link to the website that other person gave you doesnt work. Do you know of any other sites?

Hi Lenora,

Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully Sandi will see this. In the meantime, you might want to check out this thread- someone else brought up the cost issue and we found some sites as examples of how much people are charging for this kind of thing. Also, another member actually weighed in and said she's doing it and gave her site. She had some good information on how she got started.

Good luck!
