Not a newbie but certainly not greatly experienced at what I'm trying to do.

I took some family portraits and made several shots of each pose. Inevitably, four of the five people look great in every shot but there's always one person blinking. SO.....what is the easiest/fastest way to clone/cut a face from one pic onto the other pic? I'm in a bit of a bind as I promised these yesterday but came down with the stomach flu so now I'm behind the 8ball and trying frantically to get these out tonight.

THANKS!
Larry

Oops.....I think I figured it out. Just clone from one photo to the other seems to be working pretty good. If anyone has any tips on this, feel free to post em!

Thanks!

Hi Larry ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

I'm afraid that there are no quick and easy ways to do it ... but one method I find easy it to make a loose selection aroung the face that you want to add. Then do Edit>Copy.

Next open the image you want to add the face to and do Edit>Paste.
If need be use the move tool to resize it to match ..
.. and then either erase away the excess or use a mask (from one of the tool sets available) to mask out the excess.

If you don't already have one of the sets then take a look at Grant's ...here is the link:

Welcome to the forum!:)

If you have more than one shot of the same pose, it will be easier than trying to "fit" a face into a different pose because both will be the same size and have the same lighting.

Open both pictures. Control>j on each one to duplicate the image.
On the pic that you want to take the face from, use the elliptical marquee tool to make a selection around the face. Feather the selection and then edit<copy.

Go to the picture on which you will paste the face. Edit>paste will put the face on a new layer. Control>T (free transform) the layer with the face to move it into position. You can lower the opacity of that layer to help you get it in place (be sure to change the opacity back when finished).

Hope that helps!
