locked photo

I am using 4.0 photoshop and I have a pic. that I can''t access.. It shows a square with a torn line through the middle. Is there any way to retrieve this photo. It happened when I was editing it.

Are you trying to open in the Editor or Organzier? If your in the Organizer, try going to the Welcome page of Elements and click on Edit and Enhance Photos and go to where the photo was originally saved and see if you can open from there.
