I downloaded Graffi's curves as well as easycurve. I'm learning curves little by little but it's very powerful. I've looked at 3 or 4 one-page tutorials but I was wondering if someone could recommend a book, manual or something that really takes it further. I'm not looking for one of those scientific manuals that require an engineering degree...

Any advise...

Hi ..

I like this tutorial ... I think it takes all the mystique our of curves and makes in simple :)

I just posted a tut about using curves & channels to create a cross-processed look specifically using PSE 5 - it's here (http://www.graficalicus.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=256)

- and you're right - they are powerful

Graffi,

Your new tut Making a Cross Processed Look is very informative. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have your Handy Actions 2.0.

Thanks for sharing!

John:)

thanks, John!

That tut really just cracks the door open a bit - try adding a drastic amount of contrast at the end, or going really funky with the curve settings - - draw zig-zags or or just reverse the curve, for instance. The main thing is to experiment with the tools

So many useful & useless effects can come from it -
