Does anyone know how to shape text in a round shape. I dont want to type in a circle. I want the text to go over the shape of a cut lemon and form a circle. The first and last sentence would be shorter and the middle would longer.

I seem to recall this discussion not to long ago and I believe that Graffi had a tut for that on his site.

Edit: I couldn't find the tut on Graffi's site but here is a thread that has a couple different ways of doing.

Try this
Type text
Right click
Select Warp Text [Bottom item on list]
Select Style / Distortions
You might have to have more than one text line and warps
but you will probably get something close to what you want.

I Lost my connection just as I was about to post so you might get another variaton of this message

Chris,

Here are other links to past threads discussing techniques for creating text around a circle:

Edit: I forgot to mention, after I did my circles. I saved them all as a brush set.

Chris: If I read you right you want to keep the text within a circle (but not make circular text). I don't think there's an easy way but if you make a text box the same size as the circle and type in that (using center justified text) you can usually make it fit the circle by adjusting the font size and line spacing. It comes out something like this:

754

Is that the sort of thing you were looking for?

On the other hand Kimi's effect is much prettier :)

Tony... did we all misunderstand?

I really am going to have to make a point of reading the post and not skimming the post.

Hi folks,
BrianZero mentioned the Warp Text option and I think he's right.

Here's what I came up with in about 2 minutes:

With a bit more work I think that you could make a perfect circle filled with text.

Have fun,
Steve

There is a site that offers a download (free) that will put text on several
different shapes.

Good luck Tom :)

I know this is late to reply, but here is a site that sells psd files to allow you to do the circle text quickly. She also has lots of other shapes to make our work a lot easier!

So, how about making the text follow a spiral path?

Hi ...

You need the full version of photoshop to do that ... or you could get someone with photoshop to define a text path for you and then you will be able to use it.

Sadly you can't do it yourself in Elements ..
